Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

HI,

I was just served a Citation for Personal Service by a credit card company. What should I do?

It reports that if there is no written answer filed in a certain time frame, a default judgment may be

taken against me. What does that incur?

Thank you very much,

Heather

You should really go see a lawyer.

GENERALLY, you should file an answer (general denial) to keep the plaintiff from getting a default judgment. But there are certain circumstances when you should NOT do that (if there's a jurisdictional problem, for instance).
