Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Length of time to collect on ''provisional discount''

How long does a lab/pathology company have to collect the difference between the amount insurance paid them and the amount they charge? What if they CLAIM to have mailed bills, I never rec'd any, and now the bill has been turned over to a collection agency? The lab test was from 12/23/03, ins. paid the lab co. in June, 2004, and I rec'd the letter from the collection agency on 2/12/05.

The limitations on a debt is four years from the date of default. You need to write back to the collection agency stating that you dispute the debt because you already paid the difference. Send the letter certified mail, return receipt requested.
