do we have to pay?

is my stepdad or me and brothers legally obligated to pay my deceased mom's debts. Her name is on the house and car title. her name is bills, credit cards and medical bills. texas residents

her estate is obligated to pay - to the extent that there are assets available to pay. Doesn't sound like there is any money. Let your mother's soul rest in peace and let the creditors fight over -0-.

Your stepdad may be liable for her debts considered as necessary; possibly her medical bills. That comes after her estate has paid all it can.
