Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I sent a question regarding a a judgment. Mr. Charles Williamson answered - Thank you so much. However, in your answer you said my car could not be taken in a judgment but should put my car in a garage to prevent them from trying as they might do so anyway. This has me quite concerned as I do not have a garage - live in an "over 55 " establishment with no garages. What can I do if they should take my car? As I said before I am in my 80's and cannot get by without a car. I am quite upset but certainly cannot afford an attorney to answer these urgent questions. Thank you so very much for any advise you are able to give me regarding this american express judgment and my car.

If you have no way to garage your car, I cannot think of what else I can suggest. Not everyone will violate the law and try to take your car because it is exempted property under Texas law. I was just trying to cover all the bases for you. Best thing to do is just relax. Sorry I cannot do better for you than this - I feel your discomfort.
