Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

i am being sued for a small claim on a computer i had built and paid a small fee so far. i lost my job and havent had one in a year .i tried several times to call and make a deal with the company that the computer came from and they said that they didnt want the computer back,just pay them the entire amount of the computer and call it even.now i am being sued in small claims court.what can i do about this?

File a general denial and ask for proof of their claim..then go to Court when it is set. This is not uncommon..but if you don't, they will get a judgment plus huge atty fees...up to $10,000...and may make life miserable..good luck
