Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Attempted Murder
My ''brother'' tried to kill me by swinging a cast-iron skillet at my head multiple times. My ''dad'' walks in and blames me for ''egging'' him on by cursing at him because; ''good christians don't curse'', even though I did it after the he stated he was going to kill me and I planned to go out in a blaze of glory. Even though it was Thanksgiving, my ''mom'' says it's too late to tell anyone. Besides, if I do I STRONGLY believe that my ''dad'' will put me in juvenile like he already planned or physically harm me; because he is an alcoholic and has choked me numerous times. Such chaos has resulted in many medical problems so I missed school and my ''dad'' thought that gave him a reason to lock me up. I am home schooling now and these people who can snap at any moment are right up under me and give me no space; so I am in a very volatile situation. Even though I definitely know how to fight back; I'm 15 and can't support myself.
