Legal Question in DUI Law in Texas

out of state dui & refusal to test

I live in New Mexico and received a dui and a refusal to test on July 4 in Padre Island, TX. I was taken to Rockport, TX. I don't know if I need a NM or TX lawyer or where to start. I've never received a dui.

You need a lawyer in Texas in the county (or neighboring county) where the charges will originate.
