Child Support Payments Different

Are the child support payments for one child different for one working parents or two working parents particularly if both parents are making almost exactly the same wage.

Generally speaking, child support is based on the income of the non-custodial parent. For one child it would be 20% f that person's net resources (not just income) based on a chart designed by the TX Legislature.

No attorney can give you a definate answer without talking to you in person since there may be additional factors that need to be taken into account.

You obviously need to talk to an attorney as soon as possible.

The other parent's income is irrelevant.
