Child support while unemployed

My daughter has joint custody,her child support is to pay $75.00 mo. for half the cost of insurance for child. Ex is suppose to furnish insurance. He has child on medicaid thru government. She moved & is unemployed. He filed for her not paying child support. Any insights on when unemployed? Will they put her in jail?

If your daughter was ordered to pay child support, she is obligated to do so until the child turns 18. If she is unemployed, she will be obligated for the money she didn't pay while she was unemployed; the amount will continue to accrue. If she continues to remain intentionally unemployed, or refuses to pay, the court may find her in contempt and put her in jail.
