Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

child under 3 visitation modification

my daughter is 5 mo. old. her dad and i never married. we went to child support office to negotiate support and instead of going by the standard visitations for infants, we agreed to cut the standard visitaions times in half. So instead of having 18 visits from 1-5pm we cut it down to 8 times.etc. How do i get that modified seeing now that I believe she is experiencing seperation anxiety? What steps do I take

Re: child under 3 visitation modification

If your provisions were put into the final judgment, the only way to force an attempt at changing them is to file a petition for modifiction, with perhaps a request for a temporary hearing. You will most likely need the testimony of an expert witness. Another approach, without going to court, is to ask that you and the father seek out and use the services of a parenting coordinator. Your first step has to be consulting with a local attorney to find out the general attitude of the court your case is filed in.
