Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have a friend who lives with her mother. Her mother has threatened to call cps on her and hire a lawyer to take custody of her grandson. My friend has no job currently and may test positive to a drug test, but she is a good mother, no abuse has ever taken place. how likely is it that her mother would be able to obtain custody?

Here is the short quick answer - if your friend does drugs then she prefers drugs to her kids.

SHE NEEDS TO NEVER TOUCH DRUGS AGAIN!

IT'S EITHER DRUGS OR HER KIDS!

If she takes a xanax, valium or any prescription drug without a doctor's prescription, she can also lose her kids. No legal or illegal drugs, if she has minor children.

If her mom calls CPS, then she's going to be drug tested. If she fails the drug test, CPS will remove the kids from her possession and CPS gets to chose where the kids go.

The court will NOT find your friend to be a good mother.

Sorry!
