Re: grandparents rights

What are the circumstances? Are both parents alive and involved? Are the grandparents being denied?

The answer to these, and many more questions, will lead to an answer. Generally, a parent can let anyone, including the grandparents, participate in a child's life. If the parent is gone, however, then things get more complicated. Texas has a law concerning grandparents rights, but court opinions have restricted it. A grandparent has the right to file a lawsuit concerning a child under certain restrictions and has a right to possession of a child, agains with certain restrictions. You should have a lawyer explain the limitations for you.

If the parent's rights have been terminated, then the grandparents have no rights.
