Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

About legal guardianship

I have a step daughter, her father shares joint-custody with her mother. We were wondering if i could someway get legalguardian ship or something else to enroll her in activities and doctors appointments & etc. My husband is gone for a week at a time & can't always be here to make decisions.

Re: About legal guardianship

You don't need guardianship.

All you are probably need is a notarized letter from your husband giving you the appropriate authority to act on his behalf, for the benefit of his daughter, in his absence.
