Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I was married in a small town in Mexico about 14 years ago and then remarried the same man here in Texas (because we were misinformed and told that in order to work on his US residency papers we would need to get legally married in the US because Mexican marriage licenses are not recognized here). About 8 years later we got legally divorced here in Texas (but not in the little town in Mexico). He moved back to Mexico and remarried (or so he told me) I have not heard from him in nearly 3 years and cannot get a hold of him and his family hasn't heard from him in years. I am now engaged to someone else, can I get legally married to my fiance?

Yes, you can get remarried. You are divorced. There was only one marriage (even though you had two different ceremonies), and you needed only one divorce.
