Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am currently trying to reduce the grandparent access order that is in place with my son. I have filed a motion for new trial and was denied. I have heard that I can file an appeal but i dont know how to do this. Any advise or help would be thankful. Also i am planning on moving out of state this summer, will she be able to protest this move. I have to file 60 days notice but there are no retrictions on my location.

You shouldn't try to file an appeal on your own. Most LAWYERS don't know all the ins and outs of making an appeal.

However, if you're within the time limitations, you can file your own Notice of Appeal. The form looks something like this:

----------------

[Heading]

NOTICE OF APPEAL

TO THE HONORABLE JUDGE OF SAID COURT:

COMES NOW <>, Plaintiff herein, and gives notice of appeal from the Judgment of the Court rendered in this cause on <>.

Signature line (name, address, and phone number)

Certificate of service

--------------------------------------------------

Then you'll need to ask the Judge to set an appeal bond.
