Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Temp Guardianship

My son went to live with his grandparents per agreement by all parties. My husband (step-father) is offered a job out of state and I was wondering if there is a document I can give the grandparents or have prepared 'just in case' and to show they have responsibility and control over my son. Father is not an option nor does he want 'possession'. Son is doing very well with grandparents. What can I do short of hiring an attorney to insure they have all rights? Son is 15 and desires to remain with grandparents. Will a notarized and witnessed statement work? What to do? I have limited time before moving out of state. Thanks for your time.

Re: Temp Guardianship

Since there seems to be a custody order in place between you and the father, you really need to find a good family law attorney in your area and sit down with him or her and go over all the details. You probably have the right to place the boy with his grandparents but better safe than sorry.
