Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Temporary Custody

My ex is trying to get temp custody of our 7 mo old daughter and eventually sole custody. I even had CPS called on me and they deemed me a fit mother and said my child was in no danger. I live with my parents though, and my father had a ASSLT CAUSES BODILY INJ

Misdemeanor A against him 7 years ago. I was wondering if this could effect my chances of keeping my daughter. It was a one time thing and was so long ago. My ex kicked me and my daughter out of the house 3 months ago and has not helped financially at all during this time. He has also seen her twice in the last three months.

Re: Temporary Custody

Undoubtedly your father's case will be addressed at the hearing. It is important that your attorney be prepared with all of the facts, to properly represent you in this case. Do not try to represent yourself, the stakes here are much too high.
