texas lage of consent

can a 17 y/o legally leave home at this age without reprisals from parents (with or without a job) ?

At 17 you are still a minor until you are 18, under civil law. You cannot sign contracts, and you are required to attend school. If there are guardianship, conservatorship or any other court order restricting your residence, you are bound until 18 or further order of the court.

At 17 you are an adult under the criminal justice system, and are not under the jurisdiction of the juvenile code which governs runaway.
