In texas can a 17 year old leave home?

If there are no court orders regarding the child AND the child's parents know where the child is, then law enforcement is not authorized to force the child to return home. If there are court orders in place, for example a divorce decree or a child support order, then the child cannot leave home without his or her parents' permission until the child is 18 and no longer a child.
