Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

My husband is an immigrant from England and we are having to fill out the paperwork. We received a letter saying that my income did not meet the minimum requirements (we were under 125% of the poverty line.) I recently graduated from college and have been hunting for work steadily ever since, but part-time is all I have so far. Will the fact that I have recently graduated from college and do not yet have a steady full-time work background affect the form? Should I send in a statement regarding this?

Thank you for any help you can give to us.

If you fail to provide evidence of sufficient income (and/or assets) or find a joint sponsor (it's usually the best option), your husband's application for adjustment of status can be denied and he can be referred for deportation (unless he has some other valid long-term non-immigrant status in the USA). This is a serious situation. The USCIS usually gives 87 days to resolve issues with insufficient income. You should submit your proper response on time.
