Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

Set up for failure / Misrepresented

Been w/Co. 28 yrs. My Lead & Mngr (best friends) who set me up for failure. Since 03/08, The Lead been avoiding/holding a grudge. Today, I still dont know the cause. After talking to her, she says nothings wrong. In 07/08, the Lead & Mngr held meetings with other departments, changing processes of how we handle their area and production changes. Hardly any changes were communicated to me. I found out the embarrassment way by following old process, and customers sending email of the new agreed process between them and my mgmnt. 01/09, we went under a new Mngr. My Lead/ex-mngr misrepresented me and said I was a slow learner, obnoxious, etc. This was a surprise, none of this was brought up while under them. In fact 09/08 my lead wrote an excellent review: goes extra mile, proficient in app, excels in research/doc, hard-working, etc. Now, the Lead and her grudge, persuaded the new mngr to move me off my current job duty to another job. The new mngr is one-sided and will not let me tell my side. He tells me, it does not matter. But, it doeshe is now telling me I make too much compensation for the current job and asked that I look in other areas of the company or he may keep me, but will reduce my compensation. Do I have rights?

28 years? yoou must be over 40 and it could be an age issue..report to EEOC..and contact a labor lawyer...But it sounds as though the company is changing..
