Legal Question in Military Law in Texas

AWOL(can discharge papers be mailed to me?)

I went awol. I have been gone for 8 months. Called an MP Station for information on how to turn myself in. ''Turn yourself in to a Local Police Station''. I did that. They have nothing on me (warrant)so they couldn't take me to regional

jail. Police Department even called my unit in Texas. They don't even care that I'm gone. Can discharge papers be mailed to me?

This scenario sounds too simplistic. I dont know how long you were in the service in comparison to the time you have been AWOL. I think that it would be prudent for you to contact your unit and talk to your CO or 1st SGT and take it from there.

The pattern does not fit the normal way these things are handled.
