Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

i'm going through and auto insurance dispute right now and i was informed i could be sued by the other party someone recently came to my house when i wasnt home and told my dad that he needed me and i was not home he wanted me to sign somthing and drop some papers off he wouldnt give my dad anyother information he said he would come back the strange thing was he was driving a box truck not a regular vehicle and i wouldnt be expecting anyone else to come to my house at all could this be a proccess server also when my dad said i wasnt there he seemed like my dad was lieing to him
