Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I was in a car accident last year that was my fault in my sisters car, which i didn't know was uninsured until the poilce told me at the scene, to make a long story short, the people i hit suspended my liscence and want 10,920 dollars to get it reinstated, I have no money what so ever and don't know what to do. Can you tell me the absolute best thing to do in my situation?

if it was your fault..negotiate..if it was not, hire a lawyer to set aside and go forward..you may have been covered by auto insurance but talk to a lawyer
