Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

my friend died more than 5 years ago and he was to leave me a laeger amount of his will,and i moved back to CA form Al Paso TX. without tring to clame anything. he was hit by a car and past quickly and i am not even sure if their is a will left to anyone. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO EVEN CHECK.

In Texas, a will must be submitted for probate within 4 years of the date of death, unless there is good cause for not doing so. Check the county records in the county where your friend died and in the county where he was residing at the time of his death. Talk with his family members.
