Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Being sued for falling at a bar & someone went down with me

I fell at a bar and someone went down with me. He landed on top of me but somehow he seperated his shoulder. He is requesting that I pay his medical bill (inclusive of x-rays and medication) and is threatening to sue if I don't pay. I need to know if he has a case or if I should just pay the bill and forget about it.

Re: Being sued for falling at a bar & someone went down with me

If he sues you, he will be required to prove that you were negligent and that your negligence was the proximate cause of his injury. Similarly, if you can prove that he was negligent, and that his negligence was more than half the cause, he will get nothing. Unless there is some extreme rough house conduct or huge damages involved, it is unlikely that he will get a lawyer to take the case.
