Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Hello, my mother has been awarded the house in my parents divorce. My fathers name is on the mortgage & title and he refuses to change this. My mom is not able to inquire about any information about the mortgage herself. She has sold the house for much more than the mortgage payout amount. How will the money handling go at close? Will my mother recieve the extra money or will my father?

She needs to talk with her divorce lawyer about this. It should have been handled in the divorce.
