Legal Question in Family Law in Trinidad and Tobago

hi, i'm 20 and a soon to be mother. My boyfriend says he'll take care of all the baby expenses until i finish nursing school, which is in the next three yrs, but i don't trust him. I was wondering if i could write a contract that he and I could sign cause i don't trust him. Is that possible?

You can have an agreement with you boyfriend for the support of your child. However if he does not honur it you will have to go to court. The court will consider all the facts including the agreement and determine what he will have to pay.
