cheating - online lottery scam by UK National Lotter Company

I am in India

I have received mail from UK National Lottery, Uk and acting as a Paying bank Name Citi Bank that I won the Prize Money and they asked me to pay the amount for account activation to transfer the funds I paid 150 GBP after that they aske me to Pay 2100 GBP for Cost of Transfer ( COT Code) I paid that also again they asked Non Residential Tax Code 500 GBP but again they are asking the payment, they have show the account number and amount transfer to one dummy account in my name. All the amounts they asked me to deposited the accounts Officer Account having account at INDIA and Bank in London.

Now can i get back the amount or shall go to consumerforum - london . If i lodged the compliant with consumerforum london it will be get it done or not.

What type case i can put or if there is any solution from your end please suggest me or help in this matter.

whom shall i meet.

1st of all u should not have belived such kind of junk mails. The sender of the mails are the Hardcore Cyber Criminals or professional hackers. & several mails are computer generated.Such kind of mails sent to almost all the Internet users around the world.

you better not to give any details of your bank a/c's etc otherwise you can loose your money. such crimes governed under Cyber laws aslo,u can approach the UK/London lawyer for this, but the cyber laws are vary from nation to nation and there are very rare chance to get your money back.

Hence you be cautious in future.

First of all I must say you are a victim of this lottery frauds.

In this case you may contact a Barrister in London and he can help you out of the situation.

As far Consumer Forum in London is concerned dont expect that you get your amount back as its very hard to do co-ordination with time as you will be in India.
