Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Utah

Before my father died a couple or few years ago, he distributed a collection of coins between my sister and eye. My 1/2 brother (1/2) caught wind I had them and convinced my boyfriend (BF) they were part of what had been stolen some 8 or so years ago from my father. BF decides to take them from my car and deliver them to my 1/2 in his car (I had no idea the coins were even with us). 1/2 confronts abt coins, I tell him they were distributed to us girls. We all go eat then take BF to our town with us, he and BF left, something didn't feel right I checked and coins were gone. Police took coins turned over case to city where coins were stolen who decided they weren't investigating and gave coins back to half-brother, BF in meantime admitted to me he had taken the coins because 1/2 told him I had stolen them and I was going to be in trouble . . . now 1/2 has coins and I don't know what to do. BF has been in and out of prison, brother lives in NV and is a truck driver. BF had contacted my daughter as well regarding me having the coins. Sister has other half of coins
