Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Utah

Relationship

My girlfriend is in a custody battle over her daughter. She was told that because there were accusations of sexual abuse against both of us that we are not to see eachother anymore. There is no proof of any of the alligations. How can I clear my name in the case so that we can continue to see eachother. I also need to know the meaning of defamation of character, as well as slander, and harassment.

Re: Relationship

Until a finding substantiating sexual abuse is made by DCFS, or charges are brought, there is little you can do regarding an allegation, other than deny. If someone is "publishing" or making false allegations generally known you can sue for slander or libel. Those words refer to statements which are false which are made public and which harm you.
