Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

I want to take my child on vacation out of the state, his father and I are not together and there is nothing filed in the courts. He is well aware of the trip but now is saying that if i take him out of the state he will call the police and have me arrested for kidnapping. We are not married and havent lived together in the last 3months.

You can go on your vacation. Unless there's a court order to the contrary, you can travel and even move out of state without his permission, although you should let him know where you will be and how he may contact his child while you're away.
