Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

My girlfriend and I are splitting up. We have a child together. She worked from march until now at $3750 per month but has now left that employment. I need to file for joint custody and child support. How does Utah calculate child support if she isn't working now?

Based on the earning ability of each parent. The court will impute that the mother still has a job, add your income and then calculate the support. You must move quickly to establish paternity if you are not on the birth certificate.

You may call for a free consultation.
