What rights does a father have if he and the mother of the child are not married to each other, she lives in Utah and he lives in Wyoming?

Unless the father is named the father on the birth certificate, or by order of the court and rights of visitation are granted, the father has no rights. If the father was not named on the birth certificate, he must act quickly to file a petition of paternity to protect his rights. If he waits he is at risk of forfeiting his parental rights (but not his obligation to pay child support.0
