Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Utah
If you pop up on criminal records search site, and they have your record mixed with someone else. Can that company be sued for deformation of character, or at least what can be done to correct the error?

Notify the site and threaten defamation. Also contact the issuing agency, the mistake may be the agency who made the record. If the website refuses to cooperate, then you may have to sue them.
