Legal Question in Workers Comp in Utah

what does it mean to have two impairment ratings 2percent lower extremities and one percent total body rating? I recieved a check for 1000 dollars they said it was for the impairment rating. the specialist told me that they would offer me a settlemnt to try to get me to settle. to let workmans comp off the hook for a 80,000 dollar knee replacement surgery but none of that has happend and I have not signed any thing to give up that right .is this how this is supposed to happen? thanks scincerely Terri furrow

The ratings are a scale of impairment, and can be argued. These probably came from the work comp doctor. You may be entitled to greater benefits.
