Zimbabwe Power of Attorney

It may depend on the state in which you wantto use it. However, in general, the easiestway to make sure that a document executed andnotarized in a foreign country will be validin the US is to have it executed before a consular officer at the US Embassy or Consulate in the foreign country. Unless itis too hard for the person signing to go to Harare, I would suggest doing it there. Ifyou can't do that, you need to get the US Embassy to attest to the qualification of the notary, as it appears that Zimbabwe is not a party to the Hague Convention on Legalizationof Documents (Rhodesia as a British colony wasa party, but Zimbabwe has not indicated that it still considers itself bound). So theembassy has to be involved either way. For it to attest to the authority of the notary, some Zimbabwe official has to certify the authority, with the U.S. embassy certifyingthe authority of the official: a rather complexprocess.
