Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Virginia

after bankruptcy is granted

i filed for and was granted a bankruptcy more than seven years ago. if i obtain credit from an institution that was included in my bankruptcy can they try to collect on a previous debt that was discharged through my bankruptcy. is there anything hidden in the fine print on any credit applications that allows this.

No. and No. A creditor cannot try to collect a discharged debt as a condition of extending new credit, nor can it somehow bury an agreement to do that in fine print. Note thast a creditor (other than the govt. or a student loan creditor) can refuse to extend you credit due to a prior bankruptcy.
