Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Virginia

Civil judgment awarded during Chapter 7 bankruptcy

I recently checked my credit report and one of the credit bureaus has a civil judgment listed against me which I was not aware of. In March of 2005 I filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy (no assets case) in Phoenix, AZ and was given my discharge in July of 2005. One of my creditors was Ford Motor Credit. I verified that they were properly listed as a creditor by checking my court documents. Ford's attorneys in Phoenix, AZ were likewise notified. The vehicle in question was originally purchased in Virginia where I lived at the time. Unbeknown to me, Ford hired attorneys to sue me in Virgina AND Arizona. Ford Motor Credit obtained a civil judgment in Virginia against me in June of 2005, while my bankruptcy case was pending and in violation of the automatic stay. What must I do to have this judgment vacated and expunged? Should I contact Ford and/or their Virginia attorneys or can I attempt contacting the court directly? The court in question is Loudoun County District Court. Thank you.

Re: Civil judgment awarded during Chapter 7 bankruptcy

I would (a) contact the va. attorneys and ask that they release the judgment; and (b) contact your bankruptcy lawyer in AZ and ask that they file for sanctions/damages against Ford for violating the stay and discharge.
