Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Virginia

Should I File

I am a disabled person, been on disablilty for years, my wife is my care giver. We only have that one income of only $700 per month, so we have been using credit cards to live on for years...but recently my wife got sick and I have no insurance on her, and her meds and doctors bills, are taking the money I had for bill paying, I have gotten 7 months behind on all cards, I own nothing, my house the government owns..so do I have to file for bankruptcy, or can these bills be a charge off..can they get anything I have, can they touch my only income from Social Security?

Re: Should I File

They can't touch the social security, but you may want to consider bankruptcy if only to avoid harassment by your creditors.
