Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Virginia
My X boyfriend and I bought a boat together. We are no longer together and I haven't seen a penny of the 18K I paid for my half. He has had it for 3 years having a ball. Me ... nothing. I want this boat. Our names are still on the registration. He has avoided any aand every one of my attempts to talk to him about this boat. It is not fair. He knows he can keep it even thou I want it,,,,, help

Your remedy is to sue him for roughly $18K + court costs in your local circuit
court(an expensive and time consuming remedy). This is another example
of why folks who are not married to each other should not be buying houses,
boats, or other property of significant value together-------for any reason whatsoever, or one of them is quite likely to end up like this lady:
"He has had it for 3 years having a ball. Me,,, nothing."
