Take pictures for resale ??? When do I need permission ???

I would like to take pictures of churches or store front buildings and have them published on a calendar for sale....

I intend to take pictures from public property (the road, or street etc.) and not go on the property.. Can I take pictures like this then re sale them without having to obtain permission from the churches or hardware buildings in question before I can take a picture of their church or hardware building ??? Once I take the picture does it become my property and I can sell them, give them away or whatever ??? I thought I knew, but I am not sure, I hope someone can give me a good clear answer, I dont want to create a problem before I get started.... Thank you ahead of time....

Re: Take pictures for resale ??? When do I need permission ???

You are free to take photographs of public places from public property and use them as you see fit. You are restricted from photographing people without their permission and using the photographs in a profit-making venture. You must copyright photographs you wish to claim proprietary rights to or others are free to use them also.
