Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia

Filing Circuit City Lawsuit!

I was given a laptop computer from Circuit City for Christmas of 2006. The computer became slower & slower, hotter & hotter. Finally in August 2007 we sent it in for repairs. The manager told us it would go to the manufacturer ACER as it is under ACER's warranty for a year. When I go to pick it up I'm told Circuit City did the repairs on this computer instead! I get home & it only works for literally 24 hours then it goes back to the blue screen. I take it back a total of 3 times after this. My warranty states that if it is to the point that it can not be repaired after 3 times for the same problem I am to get a replacement. They have replaced the motherboard, hard drive twice, battery, power cord even the screen! I don't think it can be repaired at this point! The manager at the store REFUSES to replace this computer and because he did not sent it to the manufacturer my warranty is shot because THEY opened the case during the manufacturer's warranty and are not willing to replace my unit. I have all my papers. I've called the CC Chairman she NEVER calls back & takes maternity leave every month! I have A LOT more to this ridiculous issue but i am limited here. Can someone please assist me in taking legal actions please.

Re: Filing Circuit City Lawsuit!

Small Claims Court would appear to be your remedy to deal with this latest example of Circuit City intransigence in resolving the rightful claims of customers who have had the misfortune of either having bought or been given

one of their consumer products.
