Legal Question in Consumer Law in Virginia

Filing Suit Against Major Auto Insurers

Having been the victim of an auto theft crime, I discovered I am one of thousands who experience this annually. Seems the criminal, finance companies, and the insurance companies equally BENEFIT from the crime! ABSURD!!!

I seek an attorney equal to the challenge of filing suit against the entire auto insurance industry for the practices involving the recovery of stolen assets and the disposal of same. Specifically, I seek monetary remedies for all who have had property removed from them by law enforcement only to have it turned over to the insurance companies to be sold at auction for their gain, leaving the victim without recoarse.(if you listen to most opinions)

I am of the opinion that recoarse is due the victim! In my case, state police claimed my $40K custom chopper was part of an insurance fraud from years before, they recovered it from me and it was promptly sold by State Farm within days! No one has ever been charged with anything in connection.

I have found little case law concerning aforementioned. Seems bonafide purchaser rule may help some.

I am not an attorney but the law is my hobby. I am willing to do any and all research necessary to bring this suit, need an attorney willing to take it on. Is it you?

Re: Filing Suit Against Major Auto Insurers

My impression of the issue: Interesting. You do not have standing to sue the entire auto insurance industry. Perhaps a class action suit can be brought by all the 'victims', but the facts of each 'victim's' case will vary to a degree that they might not be 'similary situated' to qualify as a class.

Just some food for thought...

Good luck.
