Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

debt

My wife is being sued by a collection agency for her ex-husbands credit card. He put her name on his card before she was 18 without her signature (forged). The court found her not responsible a few years ago. Recently he removed himself from the account now leaving her with the debt, can this be done? Thank you.

Re: debt

She should not be liable for this (unless she used the card). If there was a prior determination that the signature was forged, and if she did not use the card, I would go after them for sanctions for filing this suit.
