Liens

Is it possible for a furniture to put a lien on my bank account. Do they have the right to all future direct deposits? Can they take just a portion of my income?

Re: Liens

The simple answer is, "no", UNLESS the store has a judgment against you, or if you have a contract with them that says "yes".

So, I'd need more facts to be able to give you a complete answer to your question. Further, the retailer may have committed a violation of the consumer protection act if they did anything that was unlawful, misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent.
