Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

Repeat queston with more information. My son (17) had a wreck at age 16. He was driving my car and is listed on my insurance. He hit a electric box own by Dominion Power. Their attorney sent a demand letter for $76,000. Isurance limits don't cover that amount. The letter was sent to my son without mention of my name. Am I responsible since I am the parent? Am I responsible since its my insurance?

Since I am not mentioned on the demand letter should I do anything or contact an attorney? Can he be sued as a minor?

As long as the damage to the electric box apparently was the result of an accident and not the deliberate nor intentional act (willful tort) on the part of your son (then 16 years of age), I do not believe that you as his parent can be held responsible for paying for the damage described.
