Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia
I run a debt collection company in Virginia and I have a creditor that has a judgment in VA but the debtor lives and works in Arkansas....the company she works for has never done business in VA and their attorney sent letter that we need to domesticate the judgment and follow arkansas law...Is this correct and can you tell me the steps I need to do to collect this judgment

As the Arkansas attorney has informed you, the Virginia judgment must
be properly domesticated under Arkansas law, i.e., registered with the appropriate court in that state in order to become in effect the same as if this court had originally entered it (the judgment).
This will require that the Arkansas procedures for this process must be
faithfully adhered to and your best approach to ensure that this in fact
happens is to hire an Arkansas attorney to do it.
