Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

co signers

me and my husband just got married this year. before i had to give back a car,they acutioned it,then had a garnishment for 5 ys.so they got double money. now they are trying to get the money from him cause he cosigned for me back then. how can they keep wanting money for the carafter all of that i really dont know what to do about this at all. looks like they already got paid two times isnt tht enough? and can they go after my bank account if both of our names are on it now? HELP

If this debt has been paid, perhaps, even doubly so, then the folks who are involved in actively collecting on what they still apparently consider a delinquent account, need to be informed of this fact.

You will need to present evidence that in fact it is all paid up. And, if for some reason you are unable to handle this matter yourself, then you should engage thew services of an attorney to assist you.
