Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

domestic violence

I was found guilty of pulling my wifes hair and pushing her (no hitting) I was sentenced 30 days jail` 1year LOTS program and 1year alcoholic classes I appealed this case this is my first offense of anything like this. I was wandering if this was a fare verdict or if I should get another attorney?

It is not possible to evaluate the reasons for the judge's sentence without having access to all the evidence. The sentence may be harsh for your jurisdiction, and you certainly have little to lose by filing an appeal, which must be done within 10 days of conviction.You should check with your attorney for an explanation of the reason's for the sentence.
